Hybrid Study Model

My hybrid model represents the combination between one models from my strand collage and one from my program collage. One is the spiral which represents the combination and projection of cultures towards one place and the staking books is the other rmodel that can be put in any order. This hybrid model tries to represent the combination of both of them with a smooth rotation on the books and at the same time the projection on how is located towards the neighborhood.

  1. I think it could be a fine building, with the level differences and the different orientations for fenestration of the different windows.
But what I would recomment is to look to extend the different directions in the outdoor public space shaping, different textures in the pavement and so. This way the building will be better integrated in the surroundings.

  2. Hi Richard,
    Interesting massing.
I would recommend studying the street level vistas being created while siting the building in relation to the surrounding streets. Create enough foreground to let the play of the building mass be appreciated at street level. Even, the shadow patterns on the ground can be integrated in the hardscape pattern and play of textures.
